After a successful run on the I Love Lucy series Lucille Ball returned to prime time television with the Lucy Show.
Vivian Vance was a holdover from her previous series and Lucy & Viv shared a house with their children.
Early episodes centered around things happening at the house and activities of the children.
Gale Gordon joined the cast in the second season as Mr. Mooney and he was terrific in his role as the banker who controlled Lucy's money.
Vivian Vance left the series in the 3rd season and was replaced by Mary Jane Croft.
In the final two seasons many top name actors & actresses appeared as themselves and there were bigger production numbers & music in some of these episodes.
In 1968 Lucille Ball sold Desilu Productions to Paramount and changed the series name to Here's Lucy.
