Eight Is Enough was one of the
best drama series of the late 70's & early 80's.
Things started out fine for this series then in Season
One actress Diana Hyland who played the mother Joan died in
real life of cancer.
Season 2 starts out with Tom paying off the mortgage,
Tom dating Abby and then marrying her, Santa Claus steals all
the Xmas gifts and Nancy enters a beauty pageant.
The writing and acting for this series was very good,
Dick Van Patten was wonderful in his role as Tom Bradford.
Our favorite episodes included the 2 part Yes Nicholas
There Is A Santa Claus, Mortgage Burnin Blues, I Quit, &
Double Trouble.
Guest Stars in Season 2 included Beth Howland, Don
Johnson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Patrick, Robin Williams, Will
Geer, & Others.
