The story of Glen Morley, congressman and widower, his children, and Katy Holstrum, a beautiful Minnesota farmgirl who is the family governess. 

Episodes depict the hectic life of a Washington-based politician and the attempts of a simple Swedish girl to adjust to city life.

 Later in the series Glen marries Katy, adding new dimension to the series.
