Jimmy Stewart appeared in his
second TV Show during the 1970's in Hawkins the story of a
shrewd West Virginia attorney.
This series ran on CBS in 1973/74 and was 90 minutes
long, it alternated with the series Shaft.
The series was similar to Matlock but not nearly as
good.
In Hawkins Jimmy Stewart defends a man accused of
murdering his sons killer, goes to Hollywood to help a movie
star & helps a washed up football player accused of
murder.
Each episode was well written and had top notch guest
stars, Stewart didn't seem real sharp in this series, it
lasted only 8 episodes.
Our favorite episodes included Death & The Maiden,
Murder In Movieland, Die Darling Die & Blood Feud.
Guest Stars included Diana Hyland, Pernell Roberts,
James Best, Tyne Daly, Jeanne Cooper & others.
