Hazel was America's favorite know it all maid during the 1960's. Shirley Booth was marvelous in this role of taking over the Baxter household. The series ran on Nbc from 1961 - 1965 with Don Defore & Whitney Blake along with Bobby Buntrock as the family served by Shirley Booth as Hazel. Another character that was terrific in this series was Cathy Lewis as the sister of George Baxter, she portrayed what was known as a real bitch and was real good at it. Sadly Cathy Lewis passed away just a couple of years after Hazel left the air. Mr. Griffin & Mr. Johnson were two of Mr. Baxter's best clients and they appeared in many episodes. When the series moved to Cbs Hazel worked for George Baxter's brother Steve & his beautiful wife Barbara played by Lynn Borden. Julia Benjamin was added to the cast as Steve & Barbara's daughter. Bobby Buntrock & Cathy Lewis were holdovers from the Nbc run. In this
final year more of the episodes were centered around the Bobby Buntrock
charachter.
