Pete Duel
February 24, 1940 - December 31, 1971



Pete Duel was a fine character actor during the 1960's  

He first appeared on the TV Show Channing and had other Guest Star appearances on Combat, Mickey, The Fugitive and Twelve O'Clock High.

Pete got his first role as a series regular on the TV Show Gidget playing Sally Field's Brother In Law.  This series only lasted one season.

In 1966 he got the lead role in the series Love On A Rooftop in which he fell in love with a girl played by Judy Carne and all  they could afford was a rooftop apartment.   

In 1970 he got the lead in the Western Series Alias Smith & Jones.

Pete Duel's best performance was on a 1970 episode of The Interns where he attacked the chief of staff of a hospital after he refused to give him treatment on a fatal disease.

Pete Duel committed Suicide on December 31, 1971.
