| That Show Starring Joan Rivers was a
local New York show that aired in 1968-1969.
This was early in Joan Rivers career and this was a 30
minute interview show in which Joan talked with big name guest
stars and an expert on the subject of the day.
Each program opened with Joan doing a five minute
monologue with the audience who would sometimes participate in
the show. The monologue always had jokes in it but the
interview section was mostly serious.
Some of the topics discussed included Etiquette, Fan
Magazines, The Jet Set, Children In Show Business & many
others.
Celebrity guest stars included Jerry Lewis, Soupy Sales,
Joel Grey, Steve Lawrence & many others.
Our favorite episodes were on Nudism with Johnny Carson,
Do You Need A Maid with Nancy Walker, Men's Furs with Shecky
Green and Hypnosis with Phyllis Newman.
This was one of the best video finds of the last few
years. Any Joan Rivers fan would enjoy this DVD.
