1970 was the final full year for Bruno Sammartino as WWWF Champion.

Bruno also had title defenses against George Steele, Baron Scicluna, Bepo Mongol, Geeto Mongol, Joe LeDuc, Bulldog Brower, Professor Tanaka & Ernie Ladd.

The big news of the year was that Gorilla Monsoon was now a total babyface after Bruno Sammartino saved him from a brutal attack by The Sheik.
